Close to home and good food. The clam chowder was the best. It had all kinds of veggies, bacon, clams and a mild white sauce rhat was not too thick. Excellent! The Fettuccine Alfredo was great too. Very flavorful and rich. I asked for chicken to be added and it was cut up and mixed in. Loved it! I've had great pizzas from here but this is my first in restaurant dining. Cool old fire station turned restaurant with firehouse memorabilia and a great stone fireplace. Well worth the stop.
The seafood fettuccine Alfredo was perfect, service was good even tho we came and hr before they closed...she was busy closing and it's understandable but one of the girls was putting the chairs up literally 40 min before closing but I guess they were good...the place was clean and pretty warm and cozy Would come back earlier tho
My family stumbled in here one evening- too famished to make it home for dinner. We sat semi-outside in the covered patio section. There were several tables, TVs for those who wanted to watch a sports game, and the setup kept the patio area from getting too chilly. I enjoyed the ambiance- the peppy music selection was fun for all. We had a half order of breadsticks (came with four pieces) with a delicious marinara. For pizzas we ordered the Hawaiian, Greek, and Maltby Special. The Greek was good, but we weren't prepared for the massive amount of garlic on top. Prepare for the whole top of the pizza to be peppered with roasted garlic cloves. Service was a bit on the slow side even though the place didn't seem too busy. It also felt a tad expensive for this type of pizza restaurants. Otherwise, all was well!
Kids wanted pizza, adults wanted anything but pizza so we decided to try Malty Pizza & Pasta. They have plenty of parking and you can enter thru the front or the back depending on where you park. We were quickly greeted by the staff and seated. Browsing through the menu they have the create your own pizza or some of their own specialty pies. The kids quickly settled on the Maltby Special and I had the Jack's salt roasted chicken. the food took some time to come out, but boy was it worth the wait. The kids devoured the pizza and the toppings were generous and crust was crispy with a nice chew and held up to the toppings. there was obviously "dad tax" on the kids pizza. If you are not into pizza (or wanted something else) the salt roasted chicken is really good. It is a breast piece, but it was flavorful, juicy and has a nice crust on it. really paired well with mashed red skin potatoes and the veggies. If you want a great place to have some good food, good beers, and friendly staff this is the place. You won't be disappointed!
Pizza was delicious! Aunt Mary's is our favorite! We brought it home after an afternoon at Flower World.
This place is awesome. I love their pizza but they are so much more than just a pizza joint. They also have amazing meals and my friend raves about their prime rib. It's worth a try for sure. They also give back to the community a lot.
Great service and delicious food for the whole family. We visited on a Friday night at 7:30pm. They had plenty of parking in the back and despite the main room being full, we were quickly seated in the enclosed heated patio. It was plenty warm, but I could see it being colder in there if the weather was below 50 degrees. They had plenty of kid options for my picky eater and large portions of pasta for my 10yr old. I was told the fettuccine Alfredo is delicious and boy was it! I kept sneaking a few bites off my kids' plate! The kids' pizza was perfect for my 6yr is, but would be a bit small for older kids. I had the chicken Pisccata and it was also large on portions with medium lemon flavor, so just right. We received our food in about 10-15 min which was great for how packed it was in the main room. We only had two other couples in the heated patio with us, but after 30 min we had the place to ourselves. I didn't get the regular pizzas, but saw others order it and it was huge, like papa Murphys family size. We'll be back for pizza next time.
I've been here twice, once on a Sunday afternoon and another time in the evening, and I was very satisfied with the food, service, and ambiance. First, the food. I recommend The Molé pizza (with Molé Salami from Salumi's in Seattle flavored with cinnamon, cocoa, chipotle) and the Meatball Parmesan, which, for a full-size sandwich and a side of salt & pepper fries, is only $15 (see image). They have other Italian-inspired fare, too, which I'll try when we go back. They have tables, half-tables with bench seats, and a bar. The chairs don't have arms, so they'll fit adults of all sizes. There are a couple of TVs above the bar and in the dining room corners for sports. If the sound was on, it wasn't very loud or distracting so if you're not there for sports you should still be able to chat with tablemates and enjoy your meal. The parking lot is adequate for the size of the establishment and there are accessibility spaces. We discovered Maltby Pizza & Pasta by chance and it's going to be our new go-to when we're in the area.
This is good pizza, while its not full on thin crunchy New York style crust its a very good alternative. Just cruchy enough on the bottom with a nice "give" to the dough. We just started adding Jalapenos to our Mushroom, Pepperoni and Black Olive (cooked well done) standard pie and we could not be more pleased. The ingredients are all delicious, the sauce is not sweet which we like and the service has always been friendly and helpful.
